Background: Webby is the granddaughter of Betina Beakley and adoptive niece/cousin of the Duck Family. Webby was raised by her grandmother for most of her life. At some point in her childhood, Her grandmother and her became homeless lead to Betina applying for a job as Nanny to Scrooge McDuck’s grand nephews in exchange for her and Webby to have room and board at McDuck Mansion. Webby was accepted as an adoptive niece to Scrooge and adoptive cousin to Huey, Dewey, and Louie. Through most of her childhood, she spent it living at McDuck Mansion with her grandmother. She occasionally went on adventures with Scrooge and his nephews and making many friends such as Gosalyn Mallard. After Drake Mallard died and Gosalyn moved to Duckburg, Webby along with Huey, Dewey, and Louie became some of Gosalyn’s best friends through their preteens into their college years. Webby would often try to help the tomboyish Gosalyn get in touch with her feminine side. During their junior high and high school years, Webby discovered she had a knack of art, especially in fashion design. After graduating college, Webby was given a job at McDuck Enterprises as a director of the fashion and cosmetics branch of McDuck Enterprises. Webby often visits the Research and Development department, sometimes to see some new product for her branch of the company but more often it’s to say hi to Gosalyn and Dewey. Much to Gosalyn’s chagrin, Webby will often drag her along with her on a girl’s night out along with Ally and some girls from her branch.

I wasn't sure at first whether or not to have Webby in the story. I originally considered having her as Huey's secretary and have a very deep relationship between them but preferred the idea of Huey as a bachelor C.E.O. and to perhaps not have Webby. However, I came up with the idea above, to have Webby trying to help Gosalyn get in touch with her feminine side. I also plan to use her for potential story elements for future chapters. I don't want to reveal too much though. I was thinking about having Webby resemble her future self from the Ducktales episode Duck to the Future but decided instead to go with a look of how Webby might have looked if she ever appeared in Quack Pack, giving her a hair style similar to Daisy's in Quack Pack.
