Background: Louie is the son of Della Duck, Brother of Huey and Dewey Duck, nephew of Donald Duck and great nephew of Scrooge McDuck. Louie and his brothers spent most of their early childhood with their uncle Donald. During their childhood, Donald enlisted into the navy and Louie and his brothers were placed in the custody of their great uncle Scrooge McDuck. The trio spent most of their childhood going on many adventures with their uncle Scrooge and making many friends such as Webbigail Vanderquack and later Gosalyn Mallard. After Drake Mallard died and Gosalyn moved to Duckburg, Louie, his brothers, and Webby became some of Gosalyn’s best friends through their preteens into their college years. During their junior high and high school years, Louie became quite the athlete, alternating between the Football and Basketball team during the different seasons. After graduating college, Louie and his brothers were given control of McDuck Enterprises due to Scrooge McDuck’s age and tire of the corporate world. While his brothers took different jobs, Louie took a job as one of the directors of the Broadcast and Entertainment brach of the company, specifically their sports network, McDuck Sports Network or MDSN. While he’s not on a sports team any more, Louie still likes maintain his athletic level. He exercises everyday, from doing simple jogging and fitness to weight training and has even learned kickboxing.

More Darkwing Duckette Characters and Profiles. Like His Brothers, Louie is a mix of his ducktales and quack pack counterparts. At first Louie was very difficult to place what sort of role he would have in McDuck Enterprises or what life style he would have due to his personality and character was somewhat sidelined in Quack Pack. I originally thought of the idea of him being an extreme sports star that would be the spokesperson for equipment or sports drinks but didn't feel right. Finally I came up with the idea above to have him director of an ESPN-like channel at McDuck Enterprises. Enjoy.
