I've been playing with face merging - I find multiple faces with the features I picture in my characters, blend them together, and then paint over top. It makes it possible to see the characters that I have swimming in my head, which is awesome :D

Hmmmm, the face merging technique has potential, very interesting project!
I look at this and cannot stop thinking of the Beastie Boys video for Sabotage. Oh, and the name Barishnikov conjures up images of scantily clad ballet dancers, not menacing stubbly Miami Vice cops......... -
