An idea based on a dream I had a while ago, based on the Stargate series~

This is a blade created by the Ancients, the builders of the Stargates. The cross-guard is a chevron, which locks in order to activate the blade. That much was in the dream. When I awoke, I gleefully expanded it, putting an address down the side. This address could be used to, essentially, speed-dial a gate by pointing and pressing some kind of button (or perhaps the symbols themselves? I'm not sure :P).

This idea does bring in the theory that there are multiple versions of these blades, perhaps for the most important planets in the gate network.

Anyway, I had a lot of fun working on this piece, even if it did take me a while.
