echoless and still, everything coated with dust unstirred by any wind, the air itself deadening sound

With the buildings the way they were, with their too-tall windows and doorways, one would expect there to be a wind; screaming thinly through the windows, howling as it wound along out-sized colonnades.
There wasn't.
At the time, that seemed to be the worst thing about the dead city.I really like these images, I don't know why I hadn't noticed them before.
Was there anything else to *The Dead City and the Door * or was it just the one image and the snapshots?

Shame there's no more narrative on the snapshots. I imagine it is an unnervingly quiet, still place.
Nothing there would ever change, not after a million sunrises.
