Satsu The Redeemed by Daemon Wolf

Satsu The Redeemed

Daemon Wolf

Originally, before she became a hero she was a villain. She wore velvet clothes that signified her origin as House Amethyst. In this case, she had shed those old robes and adopted the white colors.

There was an old legend that referred to her and the reason she is essentially the last of House Amethyst. Long ago, House Ruby came across a legend that foretold of a woman born of Amethyst origin that would bring about immense destruction. Because of this, Ruby sought to end Amethyst by genocide, including killing their Dragon Lord who masked his true name under the guise of the name Tatsu. Soon after it was thought the blood of the Amethyst was destroyed, a baby was found floating down the river by a Ruby Samurai. Taking pity, this man took the child to be raised as his own and eventually that child grew to be one of the most powerful beings on Kyra. MonDraek, Satsu's father, never knew the legacy of his origins until after the birth of his daughter to an elven woman. Despite this legend and the loss of his wife, he raised this girl to be an equally powerful warrior in hopes that this legend would not come to pass. Unfortunately, in years following her upbringing she had become obsessed with hatred of her own father, since he always overshadowed her. This eventually became the key for the dark spirit of Altorin to possess her body and reap destruction in his path. As result of this, she was eventually cursed which gave her a most unusual form on Kyra.

In light of her salvation, it was an opportunity for one of whom witnessed her destructive power first hand. He could have destroyed her. In fact, the many battles they have had were so intense that the energy could be felt for miles just as it was heard. Upon discovering her possessor, all aggression toward her from this warrior left him. This move had not only catastrophic changes, but it allowed her to see a new face for warriors. She was introduced to a new method, one she was not eager to utilize, but she instead chose to fight when his life was in danger in an effort to save him.

As result, because of how much reputation that same warrior had among even his own people, she was considered no longer a prisoner nor a murderer (a reputation that was hard fought to overcome, even with the truth of her possession). Even though her curse was removed, it was kept as a tool, one of which she chose to keep since she feels most comfortable in this form.

Artist Notes: There are many firsts for this. This is actually the first time I drew her Iron Umbrella, a weapon she had since 1992. This is also the first time I drew any one character with their entire arsenal. Another first is that I managed to stabilize a metal look for gold and steel coloration. Finally, this is the first time I ever drew this character dressed for battle.
