One of the machines in the lab is a capsule like construction meaning to keep something inside until it was ready to come out, a mechanical being.

One day, that creature came out in the form of a jackal who despite having synthethic hair for his hair on the head and tail was still mostly metallic. The first thing he heard in what must be a long time was the announcement coming from the nearby computer.

"SIMULATION COMPLETE. RELEASING PN: T09."

The jackal looks at the computer, cocking his head left to right. "What simulation?" He asked.

"WHEN DR LONGMAN LEFT YOU IN STASIS UNTIL THE TIME YOU WERE READY TO GO INTO THE WORLD, HE AND THE COMPANY HE WORKED FOR PUT YOU THROUGH SEVERAL DIFFERENT SIMULATIONS AND POSSIBILITIES."

"What do you mean ready? I don't even know how I got into this lab that clearly has seen better days." said the jackal getting a little annoyed.

"YOU WERE CREATED TO BE THE NEXT STEP OF ROBOT EVOLUTION WITH A MIND AND FEELINGS LIKE A LIVING CREATURE."

The jackal slammed his fist on the computer only to see his metal hand and arm. He staggered as he came to the realization that he might in fact be a machine.

"W... why? These memories felt so real but at the same time, I was not only organic in those, sometimes I was some kind of magician fiend and others a feral animal." said the now shocked jackal.

"THERE WERE CERTAIN PARTS USED, LIKE THE BRAIN OF THE YOUNG CEO OF THE NOW DEFUNCT JACKALLAND CORPORATION. THE REASON IT WENT DEFUNCT WAS BECAUSE IT TOOK A LOT OF MONEY TO KEEP THIS PROCESS GOING AND DESPITE THE BOARD WANTING TO PULL THE PLUG ON IT, IT STILL KEPT ON GOING THANKS TO LONGMAN BUILDING FOR OTHERS UNTIL HIS UNTIMELY DEATH."

The jackal sat down and processed everything he heard. "Not only do I have no living being to guide me, but I got no economic backing to help me in whatever this society is like."

The computer didn't say a thing, it was just buzzing.

"Well? What do you want me to do?" asked the now frustrated jackal.

"THAT'S UP TO YOU KNOW PN: R09." said the computer, which wasn't all too helpful.

"R09? In the simulations I was named Roy... was that the name of the young CEO? Am I even him?"

"DATA INDICATES THAT YOU ARE WHICH MAY EXPLAIN WHAT THE SIMULATIONS WENT THROUGH AND THE FANTASY HE HAD. YOU ALSO NEVER ASKED WHY YOU GOT BREASTS DESPITE BEING A MALE."

The jackal looks at his large breasts. "I never questioned it since I had those in the simulation. Besides, I think they look good on me."

"IN THAT CASE I GOT NOTHING MORE TO SAY. YOU'RE FREE TO LEAVE THE LAB AND SHAPE YOUR OWN LIFE WHETHER YOU DECIDE TO BUILD UP A NEW JACKALLAND CORPORATION OR SOMETHING ELSE. BUT I GOT TO WARN YOU THAT PEOPLE WILL THINK THAT YOU'RE A FEMALE WITH YOUR LOOKS, EVEN IF YOU DIDN'T HAVE BREASTS."

"Really? That's your warning?"

"THE REAL WARNING I WANT TO GIVE YOU IS THAT ONCE THE DOORS TO THE LAB GETS UNLOCKED AND OPEN UP, IT WILL ALL SHUT DOWN. WHICH IS FINE BY ME SINCE I'M OUTDATED COMPARED TO MODERN COMPUTERS."

The Jackal sighed as he looked around and gently puts his hand on where he previously hit the computer before. "I guess my first real adventure will begin. Unlock and open the doors out."

As clanging and whirs echoes through the building, the power was running out as he went through corridors and rooms that became darker than night until he came out and saw that the lab was located under a hill and then saw a big city in front of him.

"Log book day 1... I know it might sound cheesy keeping an invisible logbook but for such an occasion, it feels important to start my adventure right. My name is Roy Jackalland and... I need money to buy some clothes."
