This lady is the mother of Orliandra Stoneflower, my faun paladin (making her a half-elf (eladrin in D&D), half-faun) and have been brought up in her background and the D&D sessions where I have played as Orliandra.

Directly descended from the original elves, Alcaryn could have been the queen of the elves but instead chose to spend her time studying magic to master the control over the forces of magic as a witch queen (which she considers a fancier role despite the elf queen being in rule).
She married a noble elf named Toron Moonglade and had two children with him and when that man tragically died one day she then married a faun named Dumas Stoneflower who made her pregnant with seven kids, one of them being Orliandra who by the age of 12 lost her father to a war.
That loss made Alcaryn overprotective of her children which turned her sour when some of them decided to go out for their own careers, including Orliandra who chose to become a paladin and even used books from her mother's library which she wanted to keep for herself despite how they could be helpful for others.

Now the witch queen lives by herself and a few servants as she tries to master the mightiest of spells so that no one may take over her territories or threaten her or her family (even if she still think some of them could have chosen a way in life she approved of).

You're probably wondering about the old and new forms of her. Well, the old elf design was something I sketched a while ago to give an image for the DM and other players years ago and I made her new design a saluki because for my fantasy setting I have decided that elves will now be anthropomorphic salukis.
Why saluki specifically? They're the oldest race of dog that still exists, dating back to ancient Egypt and possibly also to the ancient civilizations of Sumeria and Babylon.

I just felt it was fitting considering how I'm focusing on anthropomorphic races like gnolls, orcs, dragonborn, kitsune and fauns.
