Hyper Indoor Lacrosse League - MOUNT NORDLOCK TEMPEST

Heading into the final quarter of this series, we now come to one of my personal favorites in this project, the Mount Nordlock Tempest, a team with a Norse mythology-themed branding concept.

The city's name was taken from the name of a mountain in Adams, Massachusetts called Mount Greylock, but with "Grey" replaced by "Nord" to represent its Norse theme.

For the primary logo, there's two mountains, one overlapping the other, Thor's hammer peering out from behind the right mountain, and a lightning bolt peering out from further down that same mountain. These objects put together this way form a hidden meaning, the city's initials. The two mountains make the letter 'M', Thor's hammer, the letter 'T', and the lightning bolt, the letter 'N', making "MTN". All this sits on the wordmark. "MOUNT NORDLOCK" is in a white "Swisz" font. "TEMPEST" is in a beveled teal metal-style font where both 'T's are altered to have lightning bolts.

The secondary logo consists of a circular teal and blue shield with a battleaxe and lacrosse stick behind it, and silver runic letters on the front. The runes represent the letters that are the initials of Mount Nordlock, "Mt. N". (I gotta say, despite the trick I used to make the circles on this shield, it was quite tedious, but was satisfied with the final result!)

The Tempest mascot is "Ax", a viking arctic fox. His name rhymes with "lax", the abbreviated term for "Lacrosse", and is a variant way of spelling "axe". He wears a blue viking helmet with thunderbolts on its sides.

To go with the Norse theme, the team's owner is named Erik Thornton. "Erik" is a Norse name, and "Thornton" incorporated the name "Thor".

The Mount Nordlock Tempest play in the Warrior Conference. The team's home arena is the Valhalla Entertainment Center. The arena's named after the big hall in Asgard.
