California Whiptail Diorama by Crowbar

California Whiptail Diorama

Crowbar

I wanted to create a mini-diorama using one of my reptile replicas to bring with me to job interviews as an example of my work. This one shows a California Whiptail stalking its grasshopper prey. Lizard was molded in silicone from a dead specimen, cast in urethane resin and painted.

I am planning on offering these and other reptile replicas for sale in the future.

No lizards were harmed in creating this. The lizard was one that drowned in my pool and would have been thrown away. Once I have a mold/pattern I can make as many as I want. Grasshopper is real and was also a victim of my pool.
