Gabriella Reference

Coracroma

So my husband got me back into his cycle of Shadowrun regulars. Which of course, let to a new character. This is Gabriela Diaz, ex cop, longtime prison inmate, I'm still fleshing out her full backstory as I like it when it just evolves along with the character.

I was actually quite surprised how little artwork of properly drawn maned wolves there are on FA, even less so for females of the species, so I was more than happy when I was able to catch   Spearfrost for one of her stream commissions to put her to life (I hate it when I don't have a good visualization of my characters) and she did an amazing job! Especially given that she had to go by description alone, she almost completely nailed the character and buffed the picture to a simple ref sheet for future commissions (Which I want to get, I really love the design). For now this is only uploaded so I have the reference available when I need it, but be prepared to see more art of her.

!!! This is actually the only maned wolf character I've seen. She looks great!

I'm the same way with backstory, haha. I find it easier to work with friends to flesh out my backstories as we rp together.

Ha! Awesome to hear I'm not the only one who loves to create her backstory this way. A real relief ^^

And I'm glad you like her design, I haven't seen many maned wolf characters either... most results I found were regular wolves with manes slapped onto them... which is a shame given how fascinating the species is. It deserves a lot more attention.

Oh yeah, I'm a big fan of atypical canids - especially being a fakemon designer, I try to look for animals people don't know or think of to work with. maned wolves have such interesting proportions and coloration, they really are fascinating creatures. c:
