What did you do to get the sort of crayon-like texture on the inks? It has a great effect of increasing the feeling of stress and aggression in this.

I drew this in Painter X back when I used to have the program. I used the pastels to draw most of it. Afterward I put it in Photoshop (CS3) at the time to add the lighting effects. I didn't think of it at the time - but I think you're right - the crayon-like scribbling effect does imply how frazzled I feel :P

Emotions have a tendency to bleed into inspiration. It's a wonderful way to demonstrate your passion in a piece without even realizing it. :)

Thanks for the info! Gives me an idea on how to replicate the effect in the future if I desire.

Very true! Good luck! I miss Painter but would recommend it if you dig the more traditional art look (that, or find brushes like those offered on Frenden to emulate them in Photoshop).

Oh man yeah! I've been meaning to buy the ink brushes on that site, a friend linked me to them a while ago, thanks for reminding me. :D

You're welcome - they are pretty nifty!
