This is my interpretation on a bear and dog hybrid, these are not the first bear and dog hybrids to be made. Nor am I claiming such

Lubars:
A proud ancient race of people, their physical appearance is mostly bear with slight dog markings and body markings. They are a magical people, and keep in practice their connection to the universe. Lubar usually live further away from cities, and in smaller village areas to keep in touch with their surroundings. They are by no means outdated on technology, they keep up 100% on things going on but also focus primarily on what's going on in their village.
(this is a W.I.P desc, and I will add more as I get a better feel for these guys)

Physical desc: As I explained before they are mainly Bär built animals with slight dog features. Their base is whatever species of bear one chooses (moon bear, etc) and the markings will mix with whatever dog one chooses.
The Lu-Bär also have a second join in their Bär foot that hooks it up into the dog ankle shape, but they tend to not use it often unless moving fast.
Accessories and ad ons: Since they're in tune with nature and such they can have horns, flowers growing from their body, ice floating around or jutting off them. Whatever pertains to their connective power.

Powers: In terms of powers like I said it's all connection based. It can be based on elements, it can be based on whatever your interpretation of connection is. Elemental, emotional, interdimensional. But there are limits to such powers.

In terms of choosing bears: If the bear is "extinct" Then that will be a high Lu- Bär, a statue totem that only exists for guidance and at times if their is one that exists it is considered an elder or leader.
