Taste the Rain by Chuchi

Taste the Rain

Chuchi

"The skies above have closed their eyes
And let their tears fall free
I may know not why they mourn
But it makes me think of thee.

I find my knees have fallen weak
Beneath these lonely drops of rain
Silent, on this grieving night,
I share the evening's pain.

And I raise my face to feel the drops
Hide the longing in my eyes
And again I know that helpless feeling
That I have come to so despise.

But upon my lips, the rain bestows
The softest touch, a gentle kiss
And I taste the rain and am reminded
Of the lover that I so dearly miss.

The skies above open their eyes
Shed their tears no more
But the pain they suffered lingers still
And forth from my heart begins to pour.

I may never understand
Why the heavens share their grief
And I'll always wonder if the rain
Offers the skies any relief.

I do know that I love you so
And miss you still, I do.
So whenever the skies begin to cry
I'll taste the rain and think of you."

Personal art. I upped it here because my husband likes this. o3o
