This was a quick digital sketch I forgot to upload to FA, but now can include in with the rest.

It was just something to start thinking about character interaction.
Still no names yet, just archetypes - here are the Witch and Matador, tangling.

I see her as very reckless and physical, and she has glyphs and sigils that accompany everything she does; from the smallest finger flick to full lunges. These symbols frame and accent her motions. And here's the matador trying to make use of his precision tool, unconcerned with his tumbling predicament and more focused on getting the kill.

Also another view with thinking on the setting. The martian city is always soaked in red: perhaps different shades of red for mood, but that's the dominant backdrop color.

I remember this distinctly from the animated Batman series, how the Gotham sky is always red - helps give a great sense of place, than a cool sky.
