A while ago I learned about an event called DELETE GDC, wherein various game designers were commissioned to make something specifically for a one night event, following which they would be permanently deleted.

RUNONCE was one of these "games," which consisted of a desktop companion bunny that talked to you and asked you questions. The catch was that it was made to be aware of its own "planned mortality," and would sometimes beg not to be deleted.

To commemorate this, I drew RUNONCE (right) some fanart the day after it was due to be deleted. The week prior, I also learned that Cloud Foundry discontinued their bunny mascot/logo (blame IBM) in favour of a new, yet entirely boring and instantly forgettable design.

I decided to combine the two in a little commemorative piece, as sad as it is. It was very cathartic.
