I don't expect too many people will care about this but...eh! 83 I enjoyed working on this, so I'm sharing it.

So...Sonic the Hedgehog! Everybody knows about the franchise. I love a lot of the games, especially the classic series. And well, that classic interest was rekindled in me thanks to some amazing fan games. Namely, Sonic: Before the Sequel and Sonic: After the Sequel. Both made by LakeFeperd, they play like classic games but with a lot of modern flair. The soundtracks - made by some very talented people just for the games - completely blow me away as well. It's some of the best Sonic music I've heard...and in fan-games, no less! Check these links if you don't believe me. :3

Anyways, the music stylings really inspired me, and I for fun decided to look for music similar to those games, just looking up bands and such. I ran into some awesome music, two songs - each with two redone versions - that inspired the idea of Hurricane Hold Zone. The music fit nicely in an Act 1, 2, 3, Boss structure, which is the same structure BtS and AtS uses. So I just, listened to these songs I found and drew this while I did!

Hurricane Hold Zone would likely be a penultimate zone if this were in a game, the zone before the final zone. The idea I had here was that Robotnik built an electrically-charged fortress capable of affecting the weather around it, giving it a literal hurricane shield, and ravaging the landscape around it. The tower's basically a big generator, powering...probably something bad!

I'll share the songs I used for inspiration, too, in act/boss structure...in case anybody is interested. :3 I actually even edited some of the music I found to make it flow better (basically cutting out some annoying rapping from two of the tunes).
