I can't tell you how much I loved being in Yosemite National Park for a week. The scenery there was absolutely astounding... especially in contrast to the endless flat farmland I'm surrounded by in my day-to-day life. There was no shortage of photography opportunities, which made me quite happy, to say the least.
This was taken from Glacier Point, where I found I could just spend endless minutes sitting and watching the way the changing angle of light plays on the different pieces of rock. Also note the guest-head in the bottom right; while there were 3 of us there for sunrise (coming in another submission, soon), there were easily 100 or so there for sunset. Harder to get a decent shot....
