Day 7 of 30! Today's theme is "Your Family". So here's a furry-fied version of my nearest and dearest family members! This "snapshot" includes my husband (Jinx) and my Mom and Dad!

For those curious why Buni's Dad's ears are so small, and he has such an oddly shaped muzzle? He's half bear! The hybrid is almost difficult to notice in the picture. (He also has a shorter, fluffier tiger tail. Not quite as wildly poofy as Buni's!)

I'm blessed to be very, very close to my parents. They're wonderful, intelligent, amazing, and very open-minded people. The day I came across the furry fandom, I came home from school and immediately told my parents,"Hey! There's a whole community of people like me who draw/write stories/roleplay about anthro characters!" They even let me host fur meets at their house back when I lived at home! They even helped me come up with these two characters.

A funny story pertaining to their characters; My entire life my mother would lovingly refer to my father as "The Bear". (Especially in the phrase,"Don't poke the bear, dear.") So my Dad started as a bear! But since Buni was half-tiger, it was kind of mutually decided that a bear/tiger would be perfect for Dad's furry character!

Mom's got into her character as well! Sometimes, as a play on "Don't poke the bear" in reference to herself she'll say "Don't poke the bunny!"

Hehe, sorry to ramble off about how awesome my parents are. ^.^ I really like this picture, and I thought it was a pretty cute concept to make the picture be pegged onto a cork board.
