Yar'Zanti concept image created for me by the awesome Hexabeast

When I came up with the Yar'Zant, I really wanted to see an image of them. That way I could visualize them and their armor better. I wanted the Yar'Zanti to be both human-like but also alien at the same time.

The Yar'Zanti society is matriarchal and militaristic. Everyone from the highest female admiral to the lowest enlisted wears armor. In their society, to expose their skin in public is a big faux pas. Thus their armor becomes a part of them and their identity. Plus each is allowed to decorate their armor with their ranks, unit patches, and specific symbols as allowed by their command. Those that maintain pristine armor typically don't serve on the front lines or out in the field. Those who do go out tend to care less about polishing their plates as much as keeping them maintained.

Their armor colors indicate their main job classification within the military order:
*Green: Command and Control
*Yellow: soldiers, Pilots, Scouts, and Security
*Blue: Medical and Bio Techs
*Red: Engineers, Architects, and Designers
*Purple: Science and Research
*Grey: Background Services and Punishment
