Yep. The character is made in Zbrush, 3-D mesh, and the background is just good ol' Photoshop CS4.

Ah, Second Life. I have tried and tried to get into that game because people tell me I could make money there, but for the life of me it will not work with my computer. That's saying something for this monster box! And Blender is good for some thing, but you should try Sculptris. It's a free, very simplified version of Zbrush. :-)
