I'm not terribly picky on one color in particular, but some color combos really bother me.
I was trying to think of an example, but my brain is dead right now. I blame my lack of sleep :D

These ones don't bother me, but I absolutely can't stand green or teal with red, especially certain shades, or certain shades of orangey red? It's weird. But it like, actually makes me physically uncomfortable sometimes. My eyes do not approve.

Like hmm... do you have troubles with christmans colors? or is is it very specific color combinations (rust-red with teal)? Just curious! I've actually seen fursona's in those colors. Sounds honestly really interesting! I wonder if there's been any studies in colors causing people to become uncomfortable/ill? Interesting! Thank you for sharing!

I don't like Christmas colors but they don't usually have the physical effects. That's usually certain shades. I'm not even sure how to describe those shades??? I just know them when I see them lol

Ya there are bunch of shades I don't like and something like 3 particulate shades I do -,- which stinks because I really like those greens. If they are off just a little I stop liking them. (No worries ^,^)

I personally go for very toned down palettes. Anything brighter that I use is generally picked by someone else (sometimes I go on colourlovers.com to get out of a comfort zone).

Interesting! Yeah I'm not really into saturated colors either! I mean once in a great while I could see it being used but I feel like I have to have a good reason- say like for a bright sunset, etc.

Yeah, I like to keep it to one saturated color to for contrast. About the only time I use saturated colors in characters is to showcase that they are "unnatural" or ethereal in some way (ie Dream Eater being bright red).

Hello loucathwil! I hope you're doing okay! I'm terribly sorry but I'm not sure what your asking? What do you mean by sections? Do you mean the columns (up down) or rows (across, left-right)? I guess what I was trying to show was how even altering a hue/color even very slightly can make me dislike the color.
Which I recognize is strange when the hue is very similar. :)-

I'm not really picky about colours tbh, only how some people put colours on things that don't really go well together. I'm rly in love with purple tho hue heue eee /crei

My favorites are pretty evident in my art but all time favorite is classic, simple cyan. :D
I blame that on working with the 4 color process a lot with design and print lol!
