Bloodhound - Alpine Subspecies

BloodhoundOmega

The Alpine Bloodhounds are the heaviest and generally the biggest of all Hounds. Desert Hounds are taller, but way more frail than their “Northern” cousins.

Mountain Hounds are stocky in appearance. They seem to be rather slow and snug, but this can change from one moment to the next. They usually prefer to be on their own and do not necessarily seek the company of fellow Hounds. They aren’t unfriendly, but rather introverts, who do not need the presence of others to come by.

Those fellows are often teased because of their short sensory tentacles. Among Bloodounds there goes a proverb that individuals with short tentacles are rather dull and insensitive towards others. This teasing though is usually only friendly and not hurtful, as - even though they appear distant and grouchy when they do interact with others - they are very protective and caring.

There is a special fondess of Mountain Hounds for their tropical cousins. The feeling is mutual.
