Some of the lesser demons that may be making an appearance in the comic. I'll put a bit more information about each below.

In my lore for the comic demons are twisted souls of humans, usually twisted by the sin they are guilty of. Depending on how resilient the person was while living will account for how well there soul stands up to being in hell. Weak, or already depraved individuals will devolve into mindless monstrosities faster, and usually turn into thoughtless, lesser demons who are bound to the whims of whoever controls the plane of hell where they reside. Stronger souls maintain sentience longer, but not many maintain any sort of semblance of sanity in hell.

Possessed: Essentially what you think it would be, a demonic parasite hijacking someone. It’s a true possession where the demon has also merged with the individual's soul, transforming both host and parasite into a new entity. These enemies are usually cunning and sentient with emotions and motives all their own. Possessed offer up an unusual kind of engagement since they’re have been instances of them occurring since there were demons and may not be aligned to any particular ruling entity in hell. These demons represent the strongest example of lesser demons, able to blend in virtually undetected, they should be approached and dispatched with extreme caution.

Glutton: a ravenous eating machine, mindless and twisted by the sin of gluttony. These monstrosities are never self aware, driven by the whims of Mammon and the other kings of hell who use their unsatable hunger to their advantage. It’s not often that a creature like this was ever transported to the earthly plane, but their simplicity and mindlessness makes them easy enough to send in a decent number. Their blubber and remarkable agility due to those spider like appendages make them a bit tricky to kill, but the thing spindly legs are easily broken and once crippled killing it is child’s play.

Ghost: Ghosts are odd creatures, both benign and malevolent in nature, they can be both lost spirits trapped between the planes or demonic souls that haven’t attached to something. They are usually sentient, but have little impact on the physical world. They make up for their inability to do very much physical harm with their ability to cause psychological trauma. Malevolent ghosts can haunt an individual, draining their energy, making them depressed and paranoid and feeding off of their negative feelings.Usually this marks the first stages of possession, as the parasitic soul will break down the host until they are too weak to fight back and then take over.

Husk: A husk is what results when a weak demonic parasite possesses a recently deceased body, or when the host’s soul is too innocent to be corrupted and instead of merging is cast from the body to be lost between planes (limbo) or to go to the beyond (heaven). Their sentience varies, some are cunning and have normal human intelligence while others are zombie like. These demons are bound to do the bidding of their masters, the lack of an unaligned human soul removing their ability to break free from servitude. Husks are dangerous in groups, but are weak on their own.

Jackyl: A jackyl is a demon who has been twisted by wraith, usually a demon who’s human soul was weak or who has been in hell so long they lost their sentience. They are deadly fast and agile and usually sent to the earthly plane in packs. Their lack of intelligence makes them easy to outsmart and out maneuver, however when in packs the upmost care should be taken. These demons are always bound to a master and have no will of their own just like the gluttons.

Snake: Demons twisted by the sin of vanity and pride, Snakes are decently intelligent. They are the hardest of the lesser demons to materialize onto the mortal plane and for good reason as they are both cunning and agile. They are bound to a master however and will do as ordered whether they want to or not.

Observer: Observers are odd creatures, bound to a master but lacking in any offensive or defensive abilities. These demons have been twisted by the sin of envy and usually have no sentience. They are most often used to observe, as their name dictates, their skin able to change color so they can blend in with their environment as they silently watch. They are used as scouts, and their presence means the appearance of additional demons isn’t far behind.
