Since yesterday marked the centennial anniversary of the commencement of the Battle of Somme (aka the bloodiest day in British history), I felt like uploading a work I had previously uploaded onto DA. Originally inspired by the awesome reveal trailer for Battlefield 1, I drew this depiction of an American soldier (wearing an M1918 helmet, an improvement upon the M1917, which itself replaced the M1916 Liberty Bell due to its unpopularity with US and allied troops) poised to strike a Confederate with his trench shovel. I did my best to recreate that particular scene in the trailer, with the overcast sky and the sun shining behind the spade-armed soldier.

So yeah, I'm uploading more stuff onto here after a bit of a hiatus.
