This is a 110-pages 21.6 x 28 cm / 8.5 x 11" and 100g/m2 65 lb sketchbook with blank pages. I decorated it inspired by my new home Ireland in a kind-of-celtic way with two playful canines. The media used are acrylics, waterproof ink and metallic paint.
I really enjoyed making this but I am not sure if I will make more. Depends if there is interest in it. It will be one of a kind, still, as if I am making another one, I'll do a differend pattern/motif for sure. The knotwork was inspired by some books. the art inspired by the book of kells but it is an original design I came up with.
I haven't settled for a species, maybe they're wolves or dogs, I dunno.
Enjoy!
Haha not at all! I wasn't expecting THAT sort of knotwork. ;) I like the book cover - if I could actually art and had a sketchbook, I wouldn't have minded getting something similar done by you (perhaps with AWDs!). :)
Sure, why not? ^^ We can always talk about it, if you want something like that done. I mean... I don't know if you attend cons much, but it wouldn't have to be your sketchbook to draw in yourself, you could hand it to con artist to draw sketch commissions in it for you. Or you could have a lined one and have an incredibly fancy notebook. ;) Ppl in the games industry don't mind fancy notebooks too much, I heard! :D
Something to consider, certainly. I go to conventions (going to one in a couple days in fact!), and actually have a sketchbook I recently purchased (at RMFC last year) that I've been using for getting sketch commissions. :) So it would definitely fit. Would probably look into getting something with a stylized tribal type of theme to it, or something like that.
And heh, I'm bad about notebooks! I don't write anything down in them... if anything, I'll find a piece of scrap paper. But normally I take notes on my computer. :)
Ipad <3 ! If I only had one! xD Sure, hit me up on it anytime, if you like. I purchased some lovely moleskin sketchbooks with better paper and a tanned, cardstock cover that I wanted to make into customized sketchbooks and sell them at Eurofurence. So if that is something you are interested in, you can always shoot me a private message about it.

Nicely done! Can't help but chuckle at the tag of 'knotwork' on a canine-related piece, though. You'll get a lot of hits expecting something else. ;)
