While she has a fair amount of aptitude when it comes to maintaining obvious mechanics, such as her own prosthetics, Balina is not an engineer. Replacing a servo that has clearly burned out is easy enough, but the various devices and circuits used to spy on other realities might as well be the Cosmic Cube for all she knows.
