So I looked up the purpose of Oldale Town in Pokemon Ruby and the answer was--- "to serve as a checkpoint between Little Root (the starting town) and Petalburg. It has four buildings and nothing to make you ever, ever want to come back to it. No gym, nothing special in the store, nothing. So, our characters don't linger here. But! Route 102 has a lot of fun Pokemon to fill your initial starting team! (I'm playing Ruby, so Seedot is on Route 102. In Sapphire, which my wife is playing, there are Lotad).

Time to do some pokemon training and capturing!

I was going to leave the whole page black and white but there is SO MUCH going on in the big panel that I had to color it. There's no place for your eyes to rest without color, so it looked like a strained mess in black and white. Soooo I put my very childish coloring to the test this time around.
