AUs are fun!
The "What if" version of the previous image. What if Yuuta and Atsuko had survived, Yomi never happened, both had cushy corp jobs, and Sachi and Izumi grew up with both their parents?
Well, Tetsuo and Sachi don't wind up an item, for one.

Yuuta and Atsuko are alive. Atsuko works as a homicide detective, and Yuuta has a comfortable job with Renraku as a combat mage and security consultant providing magical expertise to protect facilities. The Yamamoto family moved to Seattle long before the Yomi Island declaration.
Sachi is a corporate pet artist that handles interior design and lobby art that won't interfere with the building's feng shui. He's still a dog shaman, but that restless independence never formed. His hobby is finding new hobbies. He has been trained as a french chef, gone to school for both art and psychology, dabbled in linguistics, and figures he'll eventually teach art history when he gets tired of interior design.
Chronically single, mopey about it, and has frighteningly bad taste in men.

Tetsuo hasn't changed much. The conflict with Yui never happened, but the squad was eventually moved over to the UCAS regardless to oversee security as Renraku transitions its UCAS headquarters to Manhattan. They dated, briefly, and ultimatley he found Sachi... boring. Sachi never really opened up--rather, and Tetsuo has always been good at seeing through bullshit, elf socialization norms included.
It didn't end badly. There's still mutual awkwardness and feelings, and occasionally they cross paths because of work.
