So with animation, for some reason ive always had trouble trying to make a run cycle, they seem to look much like an agressive walk xD So i thought id go for a virtual run and a virtual treadmill to see if i could actually animate it correctly,
I think my issue was that i was putting in too many frames, along with not having the character lift off of the ground, as when someone (With 2 legs) is running, they are temporarily airborne for a few moments, and i hadnt considered this before. Additionally, I didnt have their head bob so much, so they were aggressively walking toward something with a completely still head. like it was on one of those stabliser thingies, which is wuite unnearving on characters that dont have a floating head xD... after some thought though as to how a character might run, and this is the result after quite a few adjustments... Its not perfect, but its the closest thing ive gotten to animating a run cycle that ive managed!
