Made in 2012

This was my first commission of someone's pet as a plushie: the guinea pig Kadaj. It was a commission from Whiteeclipse18 for their friend Umberkit, both on DA. Kadaj was still alive when the plushie was finished.

This was one of the most complicated plushies - marking wise - I have ever made back then, yes. By now I have made much more difficult stuff haha . The pattern itself isn't very complicated, fortunately, but the markings required some thinking, haha. Not only did I want them to be as accurate as possible, I also had to keep in mind that they were not symmetrical at all and that many markings were too small to sew on, so I used white and yellow ochre acrylic paints to paint on the smaller and fainter markings. Somehow I managed to do that without getting the fur to clump or feel rough, so I was very pleased with that :D I only wish I had found some good whisker-material, but I didn't. The eyes are black glass eyes and the feet have embroidered toes.

Kadaj is 20 cm/8 inches long from nose to butt and very soft to the touch :)
