Damn... I should have thought of that..... But No, Akila was once married to a mob boss in his designated district. Her husbands power over his area went to his head and ended up sleeping around behind her back. She caught wind and tried to convince herself that he still loved her until it reached the point that he avoided her, made excuses and only interacted with her when he needed something.as to why work was what it was. She lost her mind from being isolated and alone that she bursted in on him cheating again and used her bladed fans to slaughter for the mistress and him. Later Akila ripped all his feathers from his body and put it on her. (Since male peacocks use their feathers to attract mates and all) She uses the feather to show dominance and power of the district as the new Boss. The feathers then attracted female suiters that felt the same pain and ended up becoming her legion of assassins.

Maker her trans would have been interesting but I personally would not know how to set up her story for that :( I'm not knowledgeable enough on it to really make trans characters.
