Well this came out of nowhere... After a frustrating game of Overwatch about 2:30am, I started a sketch... then I added lines... then colors... and shadows... 10:30am I'm posting this. I should get mad at video games more. :P
Anyways, Shield Knight Arly was my original intention for this years cosplays. Last year was to be "big budget game girls", while this year would spotlight "indie game girls"... well Pokemon and a few anime gave me ideas to expand that latter idea. So this may be a year I'm just flooding out the dress-up Arlys.
Far as the design itself goes, I was super happy with the base body I drew during the initial sketching, and was so excited to draw out the middle section of Shield Knights armor, since that has the most detail in her design..... then I noticed I hadn't installed Arly's boobs yet... Right, the forever plague of having a character with gigantic breasts, "You'll never be able to draw a belly again", worse for shortstacks, but I feel like the ratio is what matters. A bit of wasted potential, for all the "increased real estate" you'd think it would give you, all of that extra mass actually cuts into your design.. profit.. eh.
