While attending Further Confusion 2011 this past January, my dear friend Byzil and I had the extraordinary opportunity to commission the kind and wonderfully talented Likeshine for a full-color image. Something that would illustrate the strong bond of friendship Byzil and I have for each other. Likeshine was gracious enough to take on the project as 'homework,' and not too long after con's end, the final image was complete. :)

I must say I'm incredibly happy with the way it turned out! I may have said this before, but with any piece of character art, it's the eyes and faces that really draw me in. I think their smiles say it all, really. Ever have someone in your life that you can just feel totally and completely comfortable around? Byzil definitely plays that role for me. I wanted to commission something that expressed just how grateful I am to know her. Whenever I feel like I'm standing on an island of emptiness, I know Byzil will be there to give me an uplifting hug. ^_^
