It is said that every 100 years, the dark lord Dracula rises from his grave and terrorizes the land of Transylvania with his legions of monsters and demons. And every 100 years a member of the fabled Belmont clan has risen to challenge him, taking the battle directly to his evil home: Castlevania.

This time, it's Arc's turn. And just in time for Halloween, too! :D

Max Dragon opened himself up for commissions not long ago, and I decided it was the perfect time to get some art of my character done in the setting of one of my favorite video games within one of my favorite video game series. The specific scene depicted here is roughly based on the ending cinematic of Super Castlevania IV for the Super NES. Storyline-wise, the game is basically just a remake of the original Castlevania, but the gameplay and level design were built from the ground up, making it a very unique and enthralling experience, especially back in the day.

I wanted this picture to be based on IV because Simon was much better dressed than he was in any other appearance. The armor you see Arc wearing now is an incredibly well done recreation of Simon's, and I cannot commend Max Dragon enough for just how well it came out. Good references were fairly hard to come by, but he made it perfect, IMO. :)

Thank you very much for all your hard/speedy work on this, Max! Your art has always been amazing, and this is just one more example of why! ^^
