Not terribly long after joining the Napping Cat's Dream, I bumped into a fellow role-player and all-around great guy who also happened to be a talented artist. At the time, he was taking requests for avatar portraits, and of course I couldn't say no. :)

This image was the result of his hard work and generous spirit. This was the first full-body picture of Arc I ever got that showed both him and his weapons/armor in intricate detail. As it is an early image, some features like the ears and headfin are missing. Nevertheless, I use the colorized version of this image as a reference for other artists even today. I'll upload that picture next time. I have sketched and inked versions of it as well, but I figured I'd put the inked and shaded version in my gallery and save the other two for the scraps section someday. :)

Arc carries two weapons with him during his travels. His melee weapon is a broad, straight-bladed energy sword approximately 42" long. Probably the most distinguishing physical feature is the tonfa handle that splits off from the main handle. As can be seen in the image, this extra grip gives Arc lots of options when it comes to wielding. Unlike most swords, this one doesn't have a name. In part this was because I was too lazy to try and come up with a really good name, but I also kinda like the notion that Arc just hadn't thought to give it one. While it's a highly advanced piece of technology (think light saber, but with a physical blade,) such weapons are not unique among his people.

His second weapon is a lightweight, medium sized, energy-pulse blaster. In this image it can be seen resting in the holster mounted on Arc's right leg. Just picture an oversized handgun complete with targeting scope and laser sight. It even recharges automatically. The base of the handle has a connector that locks onto the base of the sword's tonfa handle, allowing the two weapons to become one. This gives Arc an even wider variety of fighting styles, and allows the two weapons to share power with one another.

But enough of that. Thank you once again, Clae! You've done me a great honor, and Arc great justice. :)
