My holiday cards for 2021 featuring the The Mari Lwyd, holiday tradition from Wales originating in the 1800’s using an eponymous hobby horse which is made from a horse's skull mounted on a pole and carried by an individual hidden under a sackcloth. The Mari Lwyd travels from house to house singing Christmas carols and engaging in banter in order to gain entrance from the house. If the household relented, the Mari Lwyd and entourage were granted access to the house and given food and drink.
