“Looks to have been abandoned for a while then… The earth’s already working on swallowing the walls… Think there’s any inkling of evidence you’re looking for in this burnt out shell of a building?”

Ress flicked an ear at the boy’s hesitation, but nodded approvingly. “Progress then. Ista’s going to be sorry she missed this.”

“What I don’t understand,” the boy said, sliding a hand down the remnants of a long broken machine, “Is what would my uncle have to hide so badly that he’d leave a place like this behind… and why?”
