Oh gosh I don't even know why this piece gave me such a hard time but I'm pretty darn happy with the result now that I've finally finished it! Main reason of confusion is I was really pumped to have a really good excuse [art trade! X"D] to force myself to draw this lovely chara since I wanted to already in the first place, but like.. I dunno this piece gave me a bunch of trouble much more than anything else I can think of in recent times @.@"
Took forever to get her anatomy semi decently [sorry I still feel I didn't do her super sleek elegant anatomy justice maybe another time I'll draw her again] and then I couldn't find a pose I was happy with.. I wanted something calm like she was just in her own thoughts. Eventually I settled on this though and I quite like it~

I have to say even if it's not the full tree that is the most beautiful tree I have ever drawn/painted QvQ Really like how the dappled shade from the tree looks too I've never drawn shade like that before but I've always wanted to >v< It's been a while since I've painted more landscape-y BGs omg I just checked my gallery and FRICK IT WAS 2012 last time I did a similar BG??!! [I did not count a few other full BG pics I did that were mostly water/sky]
Grass used to kill me ahaha but I like this grass it looks really nice I think along with the water! It's like a river so I tried using more green/aqua shades which felt really weird at first but it slowly started to look like water [really nice water if I do say so myself XD] I'm too used to using deep azures and cyans for water I guess pfft I just love deep blues too much I guess~

Oh yeah this beautiful chara belongs to Skrayle@dA and this is an art trade we did! Gosh I'm amazed we somehow hadn't ever done a trade before since wow I feel like we've known each other for forever
