Cooking Lessons

Okay, gonna say this first. I freaking LOVE IT when people do this. <33

The marvelous Dark_NZ was kind enough to request a one hour in-stream commission from me of my chef persona getting cooking lessons from Komatsu! BASICALLY HE PAID ME TO DRAW TORIKO THINGS OMIGAWD THANK YOU

*squeals* <33

I know I went a liiiiittle over an hour on this one, but I couldn't help myself. I was really inspired! Got a chance to draw something of Aria's proper appearance, now that I've settled on the details of her outfit and such at last.

    Absolutely wonderful :3
    Knowing Komatsu, that dish will be smelling overwhelmingly delicious already. <3

      God I KNOW! I couldn't even decide if what I was drawing him making was soup or stew or chowder or whatever. All I know is that it was something intended with crab meat, so I'l go with it being some sort of crab soup~ God I want some. D:

      ...Pardon me while I go grab some leftovers. >>;

        Well I'm glad you had fun with it, it looks fantastic. :3

    I did not notice the thin line of drool when this was being painted. That is amusing. :D

      Hah! Something would be terribly wrong with this picture if she wasn't drooling over Komatsu's cooking!

    HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE THIS IS SO ADORABLE!

        I was wondering, what's the accessory you have there? Also, forgot to ask, but what's your chef's ability (if they have any)?

          Accessory?

          In terms of abilities, Aria doesn't really have anything super special going for her, like Komatsu's talent and food luck. At least not yet! She's just a reasonably talented, well-traveled chef. However, she DOES specialize in ingredients and recipes that prolong stamina and have recovery properties, and her knowledge of those is pretty thorough. She's basically built to be the perfect back-up for a gourmet hunter out in the field, especially for the lengthier journeys required to fetch particular ingredients~

            Yeah the bottle on the necklace. Not sure if it's some kind of charm or little ingredient keepsake or what.

            Ooooh I like that idea =3 Yeah having ingredients/food that lets you push on farther or getting a second wind would help out so much ^^ Haha, coincidentally, earlier today a friend of mine had asked me about ides for what kind of character I'd have for One Piece and Toriko... One Piece came easy, but thanks to bad cooking experiences and being a picky eater (not by choice), I can't relate to making a cooking skill-based character (which is sad because chefs can do SO much for that universe) . I'm pretty sure that being too horrible of a cook is the second worst thing to happen to you in the Toriko world...

              Oh! That little bottle is filled up with a extract made from Meteor Garlic~ It's basically Aria's stamina "secret weapon" for her cooking, since the properties of Meteor Garlic are extremely potent, boosting muscle mass and stimulating the body into action. It's technically an illegal ingredient though, so she tries to only use it for emergencies and the odd time she might need to give herself a boost to defend herself. Only a couple drops are needed for a few hours worth of effect, so a little goes a long way!

              Aww, that's a bit of a shame. But understandable. >//o; That's why it's cool that there's other options for character professions, like gourmet revivers, gourmet knights, and such, even if chefs are among the most prominent. I know that Ironclad's gourmet hunter character isn't actually very keen on cooking and eating much rare and delicious food himself, so it is doable to have a character that's a bit more disconnected from the "rules" of the Gourmet Age in Toriko's world. x3 Though yeah, being a horrible cook wouldn't really get anyone terribly far... and it's at least fortunate that there seem to be so many talented cooks to make up for those who can't or won't cook. *laugh*
