I've once drawn Captain Malaika already! She is basically what Amalika would be if she lived in a steampunk/ sky pirate inspired world and was 21 instead of 14.
Our dear captain here is clumsy as ever, but yet she always manages to get out of the mess she creates and is blessed with a loyal crew~! uvu The gadgets on her legs (and arms under her sleeves) help her attack more powerfully when she serves kicks and punches as it creates blasts - yes, she has a cutlass, but it's just for the pirate looks and she has no idea how to use it properly, even if she likes to say she does uou" Welp, no one really knows how her gadgets work and where she got then from, making it a really individual weapon for her! o:

The picture as such started out with the sketch because I wanted to draw her again. ;o; I liked the sketch enough to do more with it, so I decided on scanning it and giving her some colors that are, of course, close to Amalika's color scheme o: Actually the plan was to roughly color it and use some sort of neat texture over the picture like I did twice in the past already, but somehow I suddenly decided that naaah, that wouldn't fit! And suddenly there was this sunset-like background with clouds and I have no idea where that suddenly came from <o<" But now Malaika looked too flat, so I added some sort of quick shading and light to it! Aaaand thus, this picture came to be. Not really planned like that, but I actually like how it turned out xD Makes me wonder if I'd like it more or less if I had made proper lineart and stuff like that o: Because I think that the sketchy style actually adds something to it o.o"
