Akaji and Alt quickly realised that they probably shouldn't have been reading the pages from this particular spell-book. Round, twisted, flat and many, many more new forms are possible here and it looks as if the pair are unintentionally going to be trying them all out. I sure hope they realise that this was just one chapter though of many; as the pages turn by themselves, more and more magic is released.

If only they had come across Volume I first, then maybe one of them would have picked up the counter spell they are going to need.
