A Very Quick And Silly Story Thing For Buizilla

Buizilla sat quietly at his desk, focusing on the day’s work as best he could. There was a ton of art and graphic design projects that needed finishing for his job and not much time to do it in. He couldn’t afford to be distracted, not even for an instant.

A small shiver ran down his back and Bui froze in place. He knew exactly what that feeling meant. Eyes widened, he pulled his phone out of his pocket. Sure enough, there was a message from one of his friends on the lock screen. A text from Alkali that simply read, “Grow.” Buizilla grit his teeth, trying to not panic. This wasn’t the right time or place for this to happen. But knowing Alkali there was nothing he could do to persuade the roo to wait. He felt the dress shirt tighten around his chest, buttons suddenly straining over his fur. The khakis he wore felt uncomfortably snug on his legs and crotch.

“Dang it Al… right now?”

He knew there wasn’t much time to do anything about it. If he couldn’t stop the kangaroo, he could at least get some revenge. With a grin he unlocked the phone and pulled up an app labeled ‘Grow Alkali.’ That wasn’t the proper name of the application, but it was what Buizilla called it. Alkali gave him this app a few years back, something to have fun with on occasion. It let Bui have control over the roo’s size at all times.

Such as right now. He pulled up the height slider and slowly set it to higher and higher values. Still waiting for the results to start taking effect, Bui opened up his texts and sent one back.

“Two can play this game.”

Hundreds of miles away the roo hummed while he went about his lab work. Buizilla would probably just now be getting the results of that first growth he’d sent over to tease the otter. Setting down a tray of potions he stretched upward. Yup, this was going to be a good day. He couldn’t see any way this would ever backfire-

His lab coat ripped along the seams as he stretched his arms up, breaking the roo’s focus on work. Huh. That didn’t make much sense, this was a new lab coat… unless…

Alkali pulled his phone out again to read the message from Buizilla. Already his phone looked much smaller against his hands and it was still shrinking away. He shivered as a whole two feet of extra height piled onto his body, stretching his pants out to their limit while his lab coat started to look more like a vest. Sticking his tongue out happily, reveling in the growth, the gears in Alkali’s head started to turn. If Buizilla was looking to start a growth war, he would make it a war the ‘mon wouldn’t soon forget. The roo pulled up an application of his own. Months back he’d secretly hacked into Buizilla’s collar and installed a program onto it: a remote control program, so he could activate it whenever needed. Alkali told himself it was for good reasons at the time. It could help Buizilla if his collar ever went on the fritz.

But really, today, those thoughts were a million miles away. Right now he just wanted to tease his friend. He sent back another text. “Bet I can grow you out of your office faster than you can do to me. <w<”

And he meant it too. Back at Buizilla’s office the otter shivered once again, a light tingling covering his neck. Something weird was going on with his collar and he was sure Alkali was to blame. The nice work clothes he wore started to rip around his orange body, revealing his chest beneath and the biceps at his arms. Buizilla pulled the shoes off his feet quickly to avoid any pain. Of all the clothes he could grow through, shoes always hurt the most. He’d been through this enough times with Al or otherwise that he could prepare ahead of time. His socks ripped open soon after that along with his pants to reveal the briefs underneath. Bui wasn’t sure just how far Alkali planned to go but he got worried when his head was able to peek above the cubicle walls while still sitting.

“Alright then. No more playing around,” Bui grumbled, opening his phone again to pull the height slider way up.

And so the battle continued. Alkali gasped when he felt his body expand straight out of his lab coat, crashing his head into the 10 foot tall ceiling. With an ‘oof’ he flopped back to his butt, rubbing at the tender spot on top of his head. Shortly after that he heard the ripping around his jeans and looked down to find he was clad only in his boxer briefs now. The roo’s hands went straight to his crotch, trying to hide himself as the height continued to pack on. 10 feet turned to 11, then 12 right after that. Alkali looked around at the fragile lab equipment and started backing away, trying to give himself more room. But not before he sent another growth command back to Buizilla’s collar.

The Buizel’s chair snapped underneath him, sending him to the floor as well. That was just before his legs lengthened enough to push his desk and cubicle walls away, smashing into the space of his coworkers now. He hadn’t wanted to make a scene but there was no way around it now. He was becoming a spectacle as he pushed past 15 feet tall. The ceiling looked dangerously close now.

Back at the lab Alkali was running into trouble with finding enough space. He’d nearly reached 18 feet tall and had to crouch down while sitting to make sure he didn’t break straight through to the next floor up. That, combined with his struggles to push the correct buttons on his phone, meant he was afraid he might lose this growth war pretty soon. Just how was he supposed to send any more growth Bui’s way with this tiny thing? A single finger covered half the screen! And what were once small bursts of growth was now becoming much larger, compounding exponentially as time went on. Another half foot of height pushed his feet up against a lab table, knocking glassware to the ground in a loud crash. That would probably get someone’s attention soon… and in his state, nearly naked if not for his hands covering himself… that could get costly.

The office Buizilla worked in wasn’t faring much better. 25 feet of Buizel just didn’t have enough room to properly expand anymore. His legs were cramped up, nearly in a fetal position as his back was forced against the opposite wall. Cracks formed on either surface and on the floor below as the room struggled to stay together under the onslaught of growing otter. His face turned bright red when he noticed coworkers taking pictures, the flash from their phone cameras grabbing his attention. That settled it. This needed to end, quickly. He came to this decision just as he completely ran out of space to fill in the office, 30 feet of Buizel wedged into the room as tight as possible.

Buizilla pulled out his phone again and looked at the tiny device, desperately trying to start a call to his friend. They needed to stop. Finally Buizilla stopped his expansion as if Alkali had shared the same thought telepathically. After several minutes of struggling, the giant otter heard his phone ring. Taking careful aim with a single finger, he pressed the green button to accept the call.

It was Alkali, and he simply said one word. “Truce?”

“Truce,” Buizilla responded, awkwardly shuffling to try getting more comfortable. He held his phone gingerly between his thumb and a finger, pinching it just enough to hold but not enough to crush it.

“Okay thank goodness. My boss just came in here and got a face full of my ass. Bumped right into it. So uhh. Yeah. Truce.”

“You started it, roo.”

“Yeah… I know…”

There was a short pause between the two friends, while they struggled with what to say next. Finally, Alkali was the one to break the silence. “…so, wanna do this again tomorrow?”

“Absolutely.”
