Fattyvern by AlkaliRoo

Fattyvern

“Hang on hang on, I’m coming already!”

A small Noivern fluttered down the stairs to the front door. He fluffed up his fur in preparation and opened the door to greet… well, someone he’d never met before. It was a kangaroo, about a head taller than the 5 foot nothing Pokemon. He was wearing jeans, a t-shirt, and a broad smile. A white furred palm thrust out at him.

“Hi there! Name’s Alkali, I’m new in town. It’s nice to meet you neighbor,” the roo said, still grinning. Shawn looked up at him, then back down at his hand. He tentatively gripped it to shake awkwardly.

“S-Sorry, neighbor?” he asked.

“Sure, just moved in right across the street,” Alkali said pointing behind himself. Sure enough, a moving truck was waiting in the driveway. A few Machokes were bringing cardboard boxes inside. Shawn hadn’t even realized the house was up for sale.

“Well, nice to meet you? Hope that you enjoy living around here.”

Alkali practically beamed. “And nice to meet you too. I was just wondering if you’d want to come out for dinner sometime. My treat.”

Shawn blinked in confusion. “Wait, but I literally just met you. And you already want to take me out?”

“Oh! No no, not take out or like a date. That’s not what I meant at all. Just, it’s hard being the awkward new neighbor and not knowing anyone around,” he replied, shuffling his feet. “Figured that this would be a quick way to get over that hump. Meet a new potential friend, see what happens.”

That was not how Shawn planned to spend his Saturday afternoon. He really wasn’t sure how to respond though. The kangaroo seemed honest enough, but he was coming on super strong. Friendship already? His tail swayed gently as Shawn considered his answer.

“I guess since you’re offering, I can come out for the evening.”

The kangaroo hopped gently on the pavement, tail swishing happily. “Perfect. Great. Okay, I’ll meet you at the Big Burger Buffet around 6.” And just like that Alkali was bouncing away, gone just as quick as he’d come in the first place. Shawn sighed and began to close the door. What was he getting into here? Just as he was about to go back upstairs, his ears perked as he remembered something. He rushed back to the door to yell at his neighbor.

“Wait, I never even told you my name!”

The warm summer day felt great on Shawn’s wings as he flapped and cut through the air like a purple and black bullet. Finally some nice weather to let loose and fly in. He couldn’t be happier, especially since he was on his way to visit Alkali. He landed gently in the parking lot of the Big Burger Buffet.

The chubbyvern struggled to pull down on his XL T-shirt, a small bit of his purple gut peeking out from underneath. Ever since he’d gotten to know Alkali it seemed his clothes didn’t quite fit as well anymore. It wasn’t really a welcome change either. He’d enjoyed his small stature for a long time. But there was no way around it. The food tasted good, and he liked spending time with the kangaroo. His shorts struggled against his thighs as he walked into the buffet. Alkali was already here, just like usual, waving his friend over to a booth.

“ ‘Vern! Come over here, I’ve already gotten some stuff to get started,” he said. The Noivern took his seat on the opposite side, where in front of him sat three full plates of food. Compared to Alkali’s single plate he couldn’t help but feel a little awkward.

“Aren’t you going to eat more?” Shawn said under hushed breath.

“No no, that’s all for you buddy. I’m happy with this. Don’t worry about it. I’m already planning what to get you for seconds,” the kangaroo replied.

A blush tinged the Pokemon’s cheeks almost immediately. He stuttered an argument but Alkali was already standing up to go over to the food line. He scratched at his white neck fluff, deep in thought. Would it be rude to just say no to eating all of this? He was definitely hungry enough to eat it all. But these clothes were already telling the obvious truth. If he kept this up, he could kiss his Noivern body goodbye.

The tray of pizza and burgers and various fruits did look enticing enough. He picked up an orange and carefully peeled away the skin. The sweet smell of citrus assaulted his nose, making his mouth water. It didn’t seem like it could do that much harm to just try it. These visits weren’t going to happen all the time after all. He’d known Alkali for a few weeks and it hadn’t been that bad yet. Just enjoy it.

A small chicken nugget was suddenly popped right between Shawn’s lips, breaking his concentration on the orange. Alkali appeared from behind and grinned widely at him.

“Got you a few more plates. Five sounds good, right?”

As the weeks passed the Noivern only found himself hanging out with Alkali more and more often. Perhaps due to the time spent playing video games, or their constant visits to the Big Burger Buffet, they’d become fast friends. Shawn certainly wouldn’t have guessed it would happen from that first interaction. There really wasn’t anything to complain about between the two of them. Well, there was one thing. And it hit him like a ton of bricks one fateful morning.

The scale didn’t lie. 500 lbs.

Shawn just stood there staring at the number for a second. He hefted his gut up, feeling it slosh in his hands, surprised that he’d let it get this far. It felt like a soft, huggable basketball. How could this have happened? His cheeks flushed, embarrassed. Good thing that no one was around to see this. His black and red feet shuffled off the scale and over to the closet. The clothes here were a mishmash of old sizes. None of them were even close to fitting anymore; most of them even too short for his height. He still couldn’t explain that part. The other day he’d been able to look Alkali right in the eyes while they talked. And his toes were starting to hang off the edge of the bed. Weird.

Taking a brown hoodie off the hanger he tried to pull it down over his shoulders and to his hips. But no matter how much he struggled with it, or twisted, or tugged, it wouldn’t cover up his gut. It hung there, almost tauntingly, framing the purple mass beneath it. This was his largest size too. Dammit. This was becoming way too frequent. And he couldn’t go without a sweatshirt. Not with Fall coming up soon. He pulled the sweatshirt off again and adjusted the boxer briefs he could still manage to fit into (thankfully). His belly gently wobbled as he did, a constant reminder of what was happening to his size. Shawn grabbed his phone and dialed the familiar number.

“Hey Alk… I need some more clothes again. Do you want to go out on a shopping trip? …y-yes, I know, I’ve been putting on weight… taller? Well, maybe a little bit. I just- Oh. Well, I don’t see why another visit to the buffet wouldn’t hurt. Just give me some extra flying time. It’s been harder to get going lately.”

The wind picked up beneath Shawn’s wings as he flapped. Hovering just a few feet off his driveway’s pavement, he panted and struggled to get higher into the air. With the wind’s help he was able to pull just a few inches higher. Once that wind was gone all forward momentum left with it. “This is ridiculous,” he gasped.

Shawn abruptly gave up the battle and landed with a THUD. The house behind him shuddered slightly with the sudden drop of weight, and his body wobbled ominously. He struggled to avoid falling forward from the sudden shift in mass. Instead he rested down on one knee. The light autumn breeze was a godsend now as he panted and sweat lightly. Flying was never this hard before.

Maybe this was just the next step on his bloating figure. He hadn’t tried flying for several weeks now, not since the last visit to the buffets. A little under seven feet of Fattyvern might just be too much for his poor wings to handle. Shawn sighed and slowly returned to his feet, being careful to make sure the button on his jeans didn’t pop off as he rose. He couldn’t see the button there anymore thanks to his belly covering it up but he’d certainly feel if it came off.

This left one major question though. If he couldn’t fly anymore, how would he get around?

Of course he already knew the answer. He was just trying to not call Alkali for this favor. Because he knew that doing that just meant another trip around town for the buffets. Which meant clearing out plate after plate, and gaining more mass, and he was just too bashful about the size he already had to do that. His bed didn’t fit at all anymore after all; it groaned and shook each night as he got in it. He was too tall for it by a long shot, shins practically resting all the way off the end of it.

There didn’t seem to be any other option though. Flying was out for sure. Taking a bus wouldn’t work. Too many people to snicker and judge him. The thought alone was enough to get him blushing. So that only left Alkali’s car. His little sedan.

Hopefully there would be enough room.

It only took a few minutes before Alkali’s Prius pulled out of his garage across the street. It pulled up in front of Shawn and Alkali leaned his head out the window. “Hey there stranger, you need a lift?” he quipped.

Shawn rubbed the back of his head with a hand. “W-Well yeah, kinda. I can’t fly anymore. It’s just not possible.”

Alkali whistled and looked his friend up and down. “Suppose that makes sense. Don’t worry about it, you look great. Just get in. I’ll drive you around for a while.”

The car struggled with the Noivern’s weight as he carefully made his way inside the passenger side seat. It took a good couple minutes of maneuvering to be able to get in though. The gut resting on his lap just didn’t want to fit in with the console in front of him. He even had to move the whole chair back and it was still a tight fit. His thighs rubbed against the cup holders in between the two of them, and the clip for his seatbelt was lost somewhere beneath his ass.

The car smelled like old McDonald’s french fries. Probably leftover from a late night snack run together at some point. As Alkali flipped on the radio he turned to grin at his chubby friend. That was the one thing Shawn could always count on at least; no matter how large he got, Alkali was always there to encourage and try to make him feel better.

“Wow, tight squeeze huh? Geez. I’m gonna need to get a new car if you’re gonna need more rides,” Alkali mumbled, rubbing a hand across Shawn’s gut gently. “Maybe a van or something… bigger…”

The kangaroo trailed off as he looked over at Shawn, squinting for a second as if in deep thought. Shawn’s ears perked in confusion. “What? Is there something on my face?” he asked.

“No, not that. Just… since when did I have to start looking up at you instead of the other way around dude?” Alkali asked. And for once, the kangaroo mirrored the Noivern’s blush.

The Big Burger Buffet had cleared out a table toward the back of the restaurant just for the two of them. Shawn needed all that space at this point. Closing in on seven and a half feet tall meant that the Noivern took up plenty of room. And two chairs for his rear end as well. If it weren’t for Alkali being there Shawn would’ve been positively mortified by his situation. At this tall and this fat he couldn’t help but get stares and whispered comments. His powerful bat ears always picked up the meanest ones too. Right now he was trying not to pay attention to that. The lazy circles that Alkali’s paw was making on Shawn’s belly felt fantastic. It was enough to distract him if only a little.

“Hey Shawn, you ready for some more chicken nuggets?” Alkali asked.

Shawn perked up, excited at first but then blushing as he looked at all the empty plates already on the table. He nervously tapped his foot under the table. “W-Well, maybe we should stop. I’ve already eaten plenty for today. I’m full. Really. I am,” he replied.

“This isn’t even as much as you ate on Monday, you’re a good two plates behind. What’s going on buddy?” the kangaroo asked, stopping his hand movement for a second. “Something on your mind?”

Well this wasn’t exactly how he’d been planning to bring up the conversation. But as long as it was here he might as well come clean about his feelings. “Uhh… this morning… my bed collapsed under me. I’m just thinking… maybe I should start dieting. Losing some weight. I don’t really like all the looks I’m getting these days.”

“Awwww, but Shawn! You look really good like this. What am I gonna do without my Fattyvern friend?” Alkali pleaded, flopping himself across Shawn’s belly for a hug. “Look, we can get you a new bed, right? Reinforced this time so you don’t have to worry about that again. And you don’t need to listen to what anyone else says. They don’t know you like I do. And I say you look great. What do you say?”

The Noivern wasn’t sure what to say. It was bad enough that he couldn’t fit inside Alkali’s sedan anymore. And the comments were getting meaner. But a lost bed? Could he really just get a new one and continue on like nothing had happened? Shawn looked down at Alkali’s pleading eyes. Awwww. He was making the face again. He couldn’t say no to his friend when he was making that face. And in some dark place in the back of his mind, Shawn wondered if it might be better to just not worry about his size anyway. It wasn’t so bad.

“Okay, fine. But just those two more plates. No more than that.”

“Promise!” Alkali said, squeezing the soft purple flesh tight. And true to his word, Alkali only brought 2 plates. Each filled with a mountain of chicken nuggets an entire foot high.

“Alkali, I don’t think I’m going to fit in there anymore,” Shawn said, bending down to look into their favorite buffet. His winter clothing squirmed across his frame. The pants caught beneath his enormous belly overhang reaching down to his knees now. And the sweatshirt, although valiantly trying to cover him up, was simply unable to reach out far enough on the beachball sized gut. Or at least it would be beachball sized, if the huge Pokemon weren’t also ten feet tall. He’d slowly gotten used to being this large all over, from the ordering special made clothes to traveling in Alkali’s van out for food all the time. But even still as he loomed over the doorway, there were some moments he was completely embarrassed by just how vast he’d gotten.

“What? Come on, are you sure? You didn’t even try,” Alkali said, prodding at his friend’s belly. “This is the first buffet we ever went to. You can’t just give up on that.” The kangaroo was only around belly height now, bouncing on the balls of his feet impatiently. It was pretty cute if Shawn were honest. And giving up the Big Burger Buffet didn’t sound the greatest. But as he visually measured the door’s size…

“Yes, but that was five feet shorter and around a ton lighter ago,” he replied, rubbing the back of his head awkwardly. “I’m not going to make this. There’s no way.”

“But one try can’t hurt right? What’s the worst that could happen?”

Shawn sighed and rubbed his temples. There was no winning with Alkali sometimes; it was like talking to a brick wall. An overzealous, excitable brick wall. Especially when it came to buffets and food and, frankly, his new size. He may as well give in to the fight now and try to get in. He smiled down at the little kangaroo and ruffled his head.

The doorway couldn’t have been any larger than five feet across at best. So his chances weren’t looking too good. But Shawn took a deep breath and sucked in his gut as best he could. He’d practiced this many times on the doors at his house. But back there the doors had been widened and made taller, anything to make it easier for access. This was a normal door. The sort he used to fit in with no problem in his five foot and inches, skinny-as-hell body.

To the Noivern’s credit, he did fit below the doorway when he bent over. He placed a hand on the top of the frame as he bent over to avoid hitting himself on the head. So far so good. As he walked forward though something caught. He blinked in surprise and tried to push again to no avail. He did feel a tight sensation against the sides of his gut though, wobbling and straining against the wood.

“Oh no,” Shawn whispered and blushed redder than he ever thought he could. His thighs, wider around than most people’s entire bodies and then some, struggled to get the leverage needed to push forward any further.

“What’s wrong?” Alkali asked, peeking into the window nearby. “Oh. Ohhhh. Okay hang on, I’ll help.” Shawn couldn’t turn around to see what was happening but he did feel a pair of small hands pressing into his rump. They sunk in a good foot into the squishy flesh but made no progress forward. This was a pretty big problem. Even if he did make it in past his belly, everyone was staring now. The whole restaurant had noticed just how big he was. And his shoulders were pretty wide now at his size. Could he even get in at all?

The door groaned and cracked menacingly with each push. He tried to divert attention from himself by waving at the other diners. Nothing to worry about he mumbled, just having a small bit of trouble. The snickering from some patrons only made him blush harder. No more playing around. This needed to end before anyone else started to make comments or notice his enormous frame. The Noivern placed his hands on either side of the door frame and pushed hard.

Finally he felt himself scoot forward a few inches. Almost there! Just one more push. Just as victory was within grasp the wood split like a crack of lightning. Shawn suddenly flew forward now that he was freed, and along for the ride came Alkali landing right into a big hug on the Noivern’s butt. Shawn steadied himself and whispered an apology to Alkali. The frame behind him had split right at the middle, bowing outward from the pressure of the Pokemon’s wide frame. Cracks spread like spiderwebs all across the wall. But at least he’d made it through. Clearly the heavier force had won this day.

Feeling victorious, Shawn stood straight up and bonked his head against the ceiling. Right, don’t forget to keep your head bend down. Already caused enough damage to this place as it is. Thoroughly embarrassed he thudded back to the specially sized booth with his kangaroo friend in tow.

“This was a mistake, Alk. We’ve already made a big mess and everyone is staring at me. You know I hate that,” the Noivern complained.

“Oh please, that door uhh, needed to be replaced anyway. Don’t worry about it. I still think you look better than you ever have. And you made it in eventually, so we should celebrate. I’ll go get you some food,” Alkali replied, changing the subject. Shawn wanted to tell his friend forget it, this night was a wash, let’s just go home. But instead what ended up happening was he ate all the food Alkali brought to him.

And boy did he bring plenty. The roo would bring entire trays worth of food over to their booth, setting it against the table to let Shawn have his fill. The whole side of the booth Shawn was seated in was filled with his wide rump. Quite a feat considering it could’ve handled three smaller people on its own. And thankfully the table was shaped especially right so his belly wouldn’t push into the edge of it as he ate. As Shawn ate though he pushed that design to its limits, slowly edging the table forward as he cleared trays. And as the two friends ate and chatted, Shawn couldn’t help but notice the happy sway in Alkali’s tail as he gorged.

A few hours later and nearly every bit of food was gone from the Big Burger Buffet. Shawn was thoroughly, truly full. In fact the seams on his pants were starting to complain after this feast. They had started to ever so slightly split along the side, trying desperately to contain those wide legs. The brown sweatshirt wouldn’t come down to his hips anymore either. It rested as it so often did on top of his belly shelf. He blushed as he tried to get up and leave the restaurant, gingerly rubbing his sensitively bloated middle. The two of them didn’t even attempt the front door this time. There was a double wide set of delivery doors in the back of the kitchen that the chef graciously opened up instead.

“Oof. That was a lot of food buddy. Too much. Oog, I shouldn’t have had that last tray of fries,” Shawn grumbled.

Without even needing prompting, Alkali was already there to hug and snuggle into his friend’s side. “But you really did it didn’t you? Never seen you eat quite that much before. Sure seemed like you were enjoying it.”

“What? N-No. I just kept eating because you brought more,” Shawn said. He gently pushed Alkali away and crossed his arms.

“But what about when you asked me to bring all those chicken nuggets? I could barely keep up with you, you know,” Alkali replied with a grin. Shawn’s ears twitched; the roo was trying to make a point, but he couldn’t figure out what yet.

“I… well, maybe I’m just… growing into this body. I eat a lot more at this size than I used to.”

Alkali scoffed. “Growing into it? Definitely. You used to be tiny, remember? But now I’ve gotta take you around in the van when we go out. Your sweatshirts never really fit anymore. Not that I really mind that is. It’s a good look for you. Really good.”

Shawn looked at the ground, shuffling his feet. “You really think so?” he said quietly.

“I know so. And I think you know so too.”

It was hard to deny now. After nearly half a year of hanging out with Alkali it was getting harder and harder to blame the changes solely on the kangaroo. If he’d really hated all of this change, he’d have stopped eating so much months ago. Would’ve gone to a gym weeks ago. Wouldn’t have tried to fit through the door just minutes ago. Maybe this was something he could just accept about himself.

Shawn couldn’t bring himself to say what he thought out loud. It was hard enough to think to himself that he might actually want to stay this tall, this fat. He merely nodded down at his kangaroo friend and gave a goofy frin. “But no bigger than this. I like fitting in buildings.”

“No, that’s not a mistake. I really mean it. Please bring me fifty boxes of thirty piece nuggets, and two dozen large french fries. Yeah, I know it will take a while,” Alkali said. Shawn glanced down at the kangaroo pacing around on the floor. He’d spent the past half hour calling up every single fast food joint and restaurant in the area that would deliver. Shawn would’ve taken control of ordering himself but instead was busy playing through a new video game. Just another usual weekend sleepover night between the two of them.

This had become an almost nightly occurrence now; take out or cooking in was the only way Shawn could get any food now after all. The doors all through the city would never fit him. The house was specially made to help him get around more easily, but the city wasn’t so kind. Tonight though the roo was going all out with the ordering. It was one year to the day since he’d first moved to the neighborhood. That fateful first encounter at the Big Burger Buffet. And so much had changed since then-

The Noivern’s thoughts were interrupted by a knocking at the door. Alkali was already making his way over to the door, but Shawn put an arm in his way to block him. “Don’t worry, I’ll get it.”

Alkali’s eyes widened. “Are you sure? You uhh, not worried about scaring them?”

Shawn grinned nice and wide. “Nope. I’ll be fine. Don’t worry,” he said. Rising from the couch, the Pokemon absolutely loomed over Alkali. He was twice as tall as his tiny friend and had bulked up significantly lately. His growing went much faster these days than he’d been doing a year ago. Where bouncing his gut at his knees felt huge before, now his belly fell even further. It would rest against his shins when he walked around and bulged out nearly as far forward as a regular person’s height. He’d needed to pick up some workouts on occasion these days to make sure he could remain mobile. It was difficult but worth it to keep himself a Fattyvern like this.

Each lumbering step shook the house to its foundation. It was custom built with lofted ceilings and extra strong floors. But even with all that there was nothing he could do to stop all this weight from knocking things over or occasionally shaking loose picture frames from walls. The ceiling was still plenty far enough away from the tops of his ears thankfully. 15 feet tall ceilings were plenty enough to house 12 feet of Pokemon. At least for now. Shawn almost looked at that ceiling like a challenge these days.

When he opened the door he could hear the gasp of the delivery boy down toward the ground, along with a stuttering voice asking him to sign here for his Chinese delivery. The problem was Shawn was having a bit of trouble actually seeing the delivery boy. His monstrous belly shelf was essentially covering the entire doorway now. They really needed to be made taller again. So he bent over to look beneath it and carefully grabbed the pen and paper to sign. The delivery boy was actually a Noivern too. Huh. What a coincidence. And he was so tiny and cute too. Maybe a little taller than he’d been back in the day, but still just as scrawny. It made for a wonderful comparison.

The delivery boy didn’t stick around for long once Shawn had taken his food, an entire buffet’s worth of chicken and rice and noodles and everything in between. His mouth was watering already at the sweet and sour smells. He walked back to the couch to see Alkali sitting there, waiting for the food to arrive. And as he looked up at Shawn, he could see the bright red blush.

“You enjoying the view down there buddy?” Shawn asked as he took a seat on the floor in front of the TV.

“Y-Yeah. Definitely. Geez ‘Vern, you’ve been really packing it away lately. It looks real… ahh, hot,” the roo said as he scooted up next to Shawn. It didn’t take long before he was resting atop the Noivern’s belly, food in hand as he began to shovel some of it toward his mouth.

“Think you’ll be using me as your bed again tonight?” Shawn said with a grin.

“Definitely. You make the best bed. Now open wide, let’s see if we can’t make the bed softer for the evening.”

The door to the bedroom creaked open and a small, grey furred face peeked inside. “Good morning, Fattyvern! How’re you doing today?”

Shawn’s eyes fluttered open as he yawned. His thick, wobbly arms reached up to remove the crust from his eyes. Another good night’s sleep against his own body. His legs stretched out underneath the cavernous gut that covered their entire length. Stretching out was just about all he could do anymore though; he’d been resting in the same spot in his room for the past few days.

The last few months movement had gotten more and more difficult. And this time it wasn’t just due to his height either. He’d leveled out at a good fifteen feet tall, just barely brushing his ears across the ceiling when he walked around. But his eating habits hadn’t slowed down from there. Each step became slower, more deliberate, heavier. His legs just weren’t made for handling that much weight. The gym was completely out of the question too, once he got wide enough that his special doors wouldn’t fit him anymore. So he was homebound now. Confined to explore the floors of his house but no further than that.

Alkali kept him good company these days though, thank goodness. Even once he’d finally realized that he couldn’t get up off the floor anymore, the kangaroo still came every day to visit. Alkali would even bring food along too, packing his van to the brim every single morning. Either the best friend ever, or just someone looking to keep his bulking routine consistent, it didn’t matter anymore. It was good to have someone to hang out with. The hanging out had gotten pretty nice too, what with the tummy rubs and video games played while resting on his shoulder.

The reinforced bed was in complete shambles beneath the Noivern, having been caught there the same day he decided to quit trying to move around the house. He wondered just how long it would take before his legs could run up against the chest of drawers, or his butt could press against the back wall and squish there permanently. It was a pleasant fantasy to think about.

“Oh, hey Alkali. I’m doing great. Think that I’m getting used to using this body of mine as a bed,” Shawn said, licking his chops. “And wondering what you’ve brought around for breakfast this morning too.”

“Figured we could start light today, big guy,” the roo replied, bringing in a cart. “Couple dozen eggs, plates of bacon, and all you can eat pancake buffet sound good?”

“Well yeah, of course it does,” he chuckled, his tail thumping against the dresser at the side of the room.

Alkali started handing a plate up to his Noivern friend, but Shawn could only reach so far. He wobbled forward trying to grasp at it but to no avail. The delicious smells of breakfast wafted up to his nose and made him drool. This was torture. Alkali winked at his friend.

“Don’t worry, I’ll come up and help you instead. Don’t need to stress,” he giggled. The purple and black flesh sunk into his arms and legs as the roo climbed up, a sea of Noivern ready to be hugged and rubbed. Shawn had given up all chances of wearing clothes anymore so there was never any need to reach beneath a sweatshirt or a undo a belt buckle. It was just Noivern covering half the floor by just existing. And both of them loved it.

Shawn sat bolt upright in bed and rolled his way off the bed. It groaned with the sudden movement, but he desperately had to check on himself. “No, no, no,” he mumbled as he made his way to the bathroom. Flicking the light on, he stared down at the scale. Did he dare to actually stand on it? With a deep breath he gingerly stepped forward…

The scale settled right at his normal weight, 700 lbs. The Noivern finally exhaled; he hadn’t even noticed he was holding his breath in the first place. It was just a dream after all. A strange, unpleasant, extra long dream. He adjusted the blue pair of PJs and white undershirt he’d worn to bed, and they sat exactly where they always sat on his body: underneath an extra huggable gut and holding in some plump thighs. No nightmarish, floor covering body to worry about.

He turned to the sink and splashed a bit of water on his face to help wake up. Staring back at him in the mirror was the same seven and a half foot tall Noivern he’d always been. Maybe eating all the pizza last night had given him some bad dreams. Seemed like the best explanation he could come up with. Out of curiosity though, he twirled around to take a look at his back, thick rolls underneath his wings slowly folding down to a gropeable rump. He wiggled his tail experimentally, finally satisfied that nothing was out of the ordinary.

Shawn had already decided that seven and a half feet was plenty big enough for a Noivern. Tall and cuddly and fat in general, but not so much that the Big Burger Buffet was completely out of reach. That wasn’t something he’d ever be willing to give up. Not for a long time.

Good thing that Alkali wasn’t- Oh right, they were supposed to go out for breakfast together! He ran back to the bedroom to check the time: 9:35 AM. He was running late, but not so late that he couldn’t at least grab a shower and prepare for Alkali’s van to come around. The white shirt peeled off from his belly to reveal his quivering body. Shawn blushed lightly as he took a moment to grope at himself. He was closing in on a beachball sized gut now. Not quite there yet. Just big enough to rest against his thighs and perfect for hugging on any occasion. The little Pokemon from months ago would’ve never even dreamed of being this large, or of keeping himself this way. Shawn still toyed with the idea of possibly going to the gym to work off the poundage. He could never actually go through with it though.

At the side of his closet door was a set of marks, drawn in pencil against the wall. He’d come up with the idea years ago to track his height, when he was still just a little Noibat. He could still distinctly make out the mark from his five foot tall days. It rested directly at the top of his belly now. He blushed just thinking about his old self and how none of those clothes would fit him ever again.

Shawn shook his head to focus himself again. He’d already decided that this was one dream he definitely wouldn’t be sharing with the Alkali. The kangaroo would probably like the idea a little too much after all. And there was only so much room along that wall for more marks.

He's a gosh dang cutie. <3 Fat bat, best bat. Decided that he was cute enough that it required a quick gift story. So here you go. This is I think the first purely weight gain story I've ever written before. Some fat fur elements in other stories, but never any that was solely about that.

Enjoy!
