This is probably the largest image I have drawn for a wood burning! So much detail....which is why I have a couple close ups in there. Sorry for the slightly crappy pics, the wood is just too big to fit on my scanner.

A friend of mine wanted a special gift for a friend of hers who is getting married in June. Apparently when they were younger, her friend always wanted to have a fairy wedding as she was very much into fairies. As an adult, my friend thought it would be neat to have custom art done representing her friend getting married in the fairy wedding she used to talk about. That is like...the best idea ever!!!

Her dress is made to look like the brides and will have a purple sash to match her dress. Her hairstyle is similar to what she plans to wear and the groom has the eyebrow ring to match her soon to be hubbies. Everything else I had free reign =)

This is shaping up to be pretty dark, much darker than I would like. However...this means I can get away with more color AND should any fading happen, it will be quite some time =D When dealing with woodburning adding color is always a tricky thing so you have to take into consideration the grain of the wood, and the amount of space you plan to color. I use watercolors, and have found most cool colors do not take as well as warms. So what do I plan to color?

The leaves, both in the corners and on the trees in the background, should help make the bride and groom stand out more.

The sash on the her dress will be purple which I plan to match her wings to.

His wings....I am playing with either Red/Orange/Yellow to look like fall leaves, or an Olive/Spring Green. Either way, his wings are supposed to appear more like leaves while hers look more like butterflies.

I am not sure how I plan to color the groom....maybe some golds in there, we will see =)
