I have been working on this little project for quite some time now =)

I belong to a local carving club and we have one money making project each year to help raise money for the club. Usually we do this in the form of a raffle but this year we decided to ditch the raffle and try to sell unique birdhouses at the shows we attend. This appeals to me because I am not a carver so previous years I couldn't really contribute, but this year I can!!!

So this is my birdhouse. I went with an Asian theme because...well...I like the styles and have been watching quite a bit of anime lately LOL

I am sorry I don't have better pics, these were taken with my phone =/ my digital camera is puking on me I think so this is the best I can do.

I am thinking of keeping this one as a proto type as I have several people interested in purchasing one =D Which makes me happy! So if you are interested in having a birdhouse like this one for your very own I am setting a minimum price of $45. All profits go to my carving club (I will not keep a dime!!) So if you wish to pay more than $45 it is more than welcomed <3

My grandfather made the birdhouse for me and I drew the design from scratch. This birdhouse took me about a month to do because I was making it us as I went along. A replica will not take as long LOL!!

This is wood burning! All the shading and coloration, minus the flower petals, were created by using a burning tool. The petals were colored with watercolor pencils.
