anyways this is just a gift picture for my dad, their bird buddy was put down today 8( he had a whole slew of problems, none of which could be fixed really.. but one thing that made my dad decide to put him down today was that the tumor in his eye began growing into his other eye and dad didn't want him to suffer anymore and he was just aware of the pain buddy was in and even though he had a hard time admitting it and actually taking him to the vet..
so they woke me up this morning and i took a bunch of photos of them together and then referenced/partially traced one of the photos (to capture buddy's likeness mostly bc he was a ruffly feather baby and i kept drawing him too clean) and spliced a picture of his hand etc and this came of it
so.. i haven't rly done much today.. today was just v melancholic and upsetting. i can only hope my dad will be okay soon, he and my mom are really torn up about it 8( ... i wish i could do more, i really wish i could. it's so painful to see him suffer over his loss, in all my life he never showed an animal more love than he did with that bird.

Awww. Losing pets is so hard, especially when they're clearly suffering and in pain. My condolences for your loss.
This is a very sweet tribute to them, and especially love the colors.

right;;; dad was considering putting him down weeks ago but buddy was still extremely lively? so he put it off but yesterday morning he was just... twitching his head and crying and in pain ghh.. it's always a hard decision and no one wants to do it but it's for the pets best interest even if you want them to be alive a little longer..

I'm sorry. Losing a pet is always hard, and I lost one of my lovebirds last year. :( My condolences to you and your father.
