A type of Eurasian Pygmy Owl (Glaucidium passerinum) one, if not the, smallest owl in europe. Its about 50g, compareable to half your average chocolate bar. (European ones... :P)

Outstanding how the plumage "pops" against the dark background. I wish I could manage that sort of illumination!
