Heh, well it's true the prey here won't be coming to any permanent harm, but Basil can't guarantee he won't digest :P (Reforming and all that)

Some details that set Basilisco apart from real snakes:
*He can magically unhinge his jaws to swallow prey of almost any size. The only limit to what he can eat is what his stomach can hold.
*He has eyelids :D
*Basilisco is endothermic (Warmblooded) not exothermic (Coldblooded)
*Basil can use magic to speak, though when swallowing prey it still comes out sounding muffled
*Basil can also use his magic to control his digestion, so he can keep friends inside without his stomach acids ruining their fun. He still needs to eat from time to time though.
*Basil's stomach can expand several times as far as a python's normally can (The snake-half of his being)
*Basil's exact species is currently unknown, but current belief is he's either a shapeshifter, or a reticulated python / dragon hybrid
