In the northeastern corner of the continent of D'Amantru, the last creature one would expect to see is an avizon. These draconic beings were thought to have been hunted to extinction out of fear that their paralytic bites were somehow vampiric. The illnesses that usually followed the bites came not from any vampiric toxins, but a combination of poor wound care and a lack of immunity to the bacteria that are normally found in the mouths of these mostly carnivorous, draconic creatures.

Anya's history is mostly unknown to anyone but her, and the Chernomor she hangs around to harass and occasionally help. She uses her size, being just under the height of the average delphin male, and her weight, as a substantial and muscular representative of her kind, to this end. She can both start the fight and end it. Even taller beings, like Adian and Janus, are little trouble for her to pick up and hold out of the way.
